Lovely and lively atmosphere in winters as well. Stroll for an entire day to visit various churches and the shops. A huge market for shopping and a huge congregation of people.

Great to place to wander around, shop, people watch, eat, grab a coffee or beer etc.. and of course watch the Glockenspiel show with the 32 life sized figurines putting on two shows.

Awesome architecture. For people visiting Munich on Christmas, check out their Christmas markets for German treats like Currywürst, Bratwürst, and beer! The Hofbrauhaus is within the vicinity as well.

Historical palace in the heart of Munich. Well you need to be there when visiting Munich but be aware that due the bunch of tourists it's crowded all days long.

Big plaza with plenty of people, great atmosphere and various historical buildings and interesting shops. It is the main plaza since 12th century.
