This place is HUGE. We didn't have a map and figured we'd wonder and happen on the graves/sites we wanted to see. We wandered for awhile. Plan/map ahead. Enjoyed spending time there. Beautiful.

make sure to see hattie mcdaniel's cenotaph near the lake. her dying wish was to be buried here but segregation laws at the time did not allow it. in 1999, this centotaph was erected in her honor.

A kitschy Hollywood cemetery. Cinespia's outdoor summer movie screenings and bands at the Masonic Lodge are a unique experience. Bring a picnic & wine for the movies and buy tickets well in advance!
